I'd like to use the First Quest (1st.qst on my computer, from the 2.50 version) as a template for creating my own quest, but I don't know the password.
Someone suggested I use the 'example_1st' quest in the QDB, but that version is 'obsolete' and won't load on my version.
Any help would be appreciated.
Obsolete? It should work fine. Lemme dig through my files for the example quests. As far as I know there are no obsolete quests. other files that ZQ exports can be obsolete(eg. .sfx, .zpl, etc.) but I have never found a quest file that 2.5 wouldn't open.

Here, _L_ posted link to unpassworded versions of all 4 official quests, titled example_1st, example_2nd, example_3rd, and example_4th, all in that order. Of course, this was posted almost three years ago, but the links still work perfectly fine. Maybe in the future, we should have these bundled with Zelda Classic. Remember how earlier 2.5 betas had proposed1st, proposed2nd, and proposed3rd bundled with them? And some older versions, like 2.10 had files like example_1st, example_2nd, example_bs1st, 210test, and even demoex bundled with them, even though demoex is password protected.
