Can't Load Custom Quests (Mac OS X Version 2.5)

After wasting time trying to figure out how it works (very unintuitive user interface), I checked the FAQ to know how to load custom quests but it was only for version 2.1 so the instructions no longer applied. I did however try to follow them anyway but what I experienced directly contradicted some of the steps. I tried looking for help on other websites and the best thing I found was an instructional video for version 1.9 so it obviously didn't work either. Below is what I did.

Step 1: Made a Quest Folder
    > /Users/"Username"/Desktop/Zelda Classic/Quests/".qst files here"

Step 2: Changed the Quest Directory
    > Opened Zelda Classic
    > Misc Options
    > Quest Directory +++

Step 3: Created a Save File

Step 4: Attempted to Load Custom Quest
    > Pressed A Button
    > http://i.imgur.com/YFX9B7o.png
    > Browse
    > http://i.imgur.com/KXpuwJG.png
    > OK
    > http://i.imgur.com/YFX9B7o.png (No Change)
    > Browse (Plan B)
    > http://i.imgur.com/QZeRqYt.png (Manually Typed Quest)
    > OK

I also tried loading quest files directly from the Zelda Classic directory but the same results happened. What did I do wrong and what should I do?

Unlike the Windows version, there is already a separate folder for quests. For the Mac version, it's Zelda Classic/Zelda Classic.app/Contents/Resources/ (off the top of my head). It's kind of concerning that there's no folder navigation for you to use, though.

So you actually have to right click the Zelda Classic application and show the application folder's contents? Man, that's like super counterintuitive! Anyway, I put the quest files inside the application among with 1st.qst, 2nd.qst and so on but it still didn't work. I changed the Quest Directory to .../Zelda Classic/Zelda Classic.app/Contents/Resources/ but it still doesn't allow me to load anything, not even the default quest files. Unless... Yes, it worked! It would appear that the application doesn't understand accents (é, Ã*, ê, etc.) so I had to change folder names. I actually shortened the directory path in my screenshots in order to make it fit (you can't scroll pictures) and there was a folder with an acute accent between Desktop and Zelda Classic.
