How exactly do you play the games you make in The Editor?

I am working on a mac, and have the most recent version of ZC QUEST EDITOR as of a few days ago. I am new to this system entirely.

Continuing from the title, What I ask is how do I run the game I make. The save-files for my Adventure (The Wastelands) don't have any pre-set application to open to, and no Application I try with them works.
I have been unable to find any sort of Quest-Compiler or Tester.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you opening the custom quest correctly?

    1. Open Zelda Classic. (zelda-w.exe, or use zlaunch-w.exe to load it)
    2. Press ENTER to get past the Armageddon Games logo.
    3. Press ENTER to get past the Zelda Classic title screen.
    4. Choose "Register your name", type any name you'd like, and press enter.
(Enter "ZELDA" here to skip to the Legend of Zelda 2nd quest, "ALPHA" to skip to AGN's Official Third Quest, or "GANON" to skip to AGN's Official Fourth Quest.)
    5. If you'd like to play any of the official quests, simply press enter with your save file selected now. If you didn't enter any of the names above, you'll be taken to the original Legend of Zelda first quest.
(If you'd like to load a custom quest, skip this step and go to step 6.)
    6. Press ALT on your save file.
(Note that when the program asks you to hit "A", it's actually asking you to hit the key you have mapped to the A button. "A" is usually mapped to ALT by default -- you may change your key bindings by hitting ESC, then choosing Settings -> Controls from the menu.)
    7. Press ALT again, then click "Browse" in the pop-up. Browse to the quest you want to play using the File Select dialog and double click it.
    8. You'll be given a brief pop-up with the quest title and author. If it's the quest you want to play, hit OK.
    9. Now hit ENTER and you're ready to play!

To be clear, zquest is used to build the quests and the "zelda" or Zelda Classic program is used to play the quests.

Phazite, one of my attempts to play the game I made was with on the title screen of 'Zelda Classic', and making the screen pause and go grey-brown, then scrolling down on a TAB (Titles QUEST I believe) then finding the option 'LOAD QUEST' I clicked It immediately, to realize it was in grey not black text, showing the option to be invalid somehow.

SpykStorm, I will test your proffered solution, I thank thee in advance. :)
