Exclamation Zelda Classic III Downloads Available

Using state of the art Quantum Core Prydonian computing technology, were proud to deliver Zelda Classic III to you, for all three major computing platforms: Windows, MacOS X, and Linux.

    Zelda Classic III (Windows)

    Zelda Classic III (MacOS X)

    Zelda Classic III (Linux)

(The Linux build may require you to do chmod u+x on the file.)

Using fourth-dimensional technologies, this release pushes both ZC itself, and your system power to its limits, with commonly-requested features such as:

    • Four-way Active Scrolling
    • Automated Script Generation
    • Output of quests in ROM format for NES, Gameboy, SNES, N64, and Game Cube formats.
    • Full Motion Video
    • 3-D Game Creation
    • AI-based Quest Creation--never work on your own quest again!

We all hope that this satisfies the wants and needs of the ZC community, for the next few decades. Thank you again for your continued support!

I downloaded the .zip file and extracted it and there is only one .exe, no ZQuest, and it tells me there is Fatal error, wrong OS version when I try to run the application.
I am running Windows 10, but I could use backwards compatibility mode.

If you don't mind me asking, which version of Windows is this supposed to be used with?

    Why, Windows 5039, of course.

This, is what we call, an April Fools prank.

Wait.... this is a april fools prank? Then why does it work for me? So does this mean nobody will be able to play the "Mario's Insane Rampage" 3D remake that I made????

That's because you nicked the conceptual geometer from my TARDIS--blast you!--@VEL! Now, how will I ever escape this dismal planet, and time?!

    ---

For those who clearly mistook this as legitimate: [iApril Fools![/i]

I thought that the time-travel stuff, and the obvious auto-script/quest building would have been a dead giveaway, but apparently... I win!

    ---

As an extra laugh, I was originally planning to have two buttons:

    Type A, and Type B

Selecting 'Type A' would have given the OS version error, whereas, selecting 'Type B' would have reported: You are not worthy!, but, laziness and time-crunching got in the way. Releasing anything for three operating systems consumes quite a lot of time.

Happy spring holidays, to all, as well.

I'm just borrowing it until I can backwards engineer it.

A dead giveaway?? No, because my quest file IS going to be able to do that eventually to a certain extent. There is going to be at least one randomizer style labyrinth that is going to be generated as the player enters the level and continues on.

I'm guessing "Quantum" was the time travel reference?

At any rate, AI Based game generation IS indeed a thing, I'm surprised you considered it too ridiculous to be true, given your tech knowledge dwarves that of everyone else in the community, even that of me and @Gleeok .

In fact, this technology has been around so long that there are actually defunct auto-game generators that are now considered obselete, so it is far from new:

Now, mind you, it is NEVER optimal, even the best ones need actual developers to refine what they generate, otherwise the design isn't much more than simply playable. So "never work on your own quests again" may have been a bit much, but still.....

    Nah, it was this:

    Using fourth-dimensional technologies
I am fully-aware of auto-0gen stuff. It is just preposterous in the way that I worded it in my OP.

Ah, yes I forgot that some people see time as the fourth dimension.
