Do you have "intro always plays" checked for the dmap? If so, what kind of warp are you using to enter the Ganon fight?
If not, do you have a separate dmap for Ganon?
No separate DMap for Ganon, Always Shows checked.
This is a 2.50+ problem,

Right, then. There are only three possible solutions:
Make 2.54 quests not play the intro, even if it is set to repeat, on the same dmap. (Older quests would still do it.)
Add a screen flag to disable the intro text.
Add a QR not to play intro text for Ganon.
I do not happen to like any of these options. (Remember, that some old quests rely on the DMap intro for Ganon.)
Placing Ganon on his own DMap, or deselecting the DMap setting to repeat strings, would cure it in a quest. I favour the former.
This falls somewhere in the cracks between intended behaviour, and bugs.
For anyone who cares, the code that does this is in Link.cpp.
Edit: I added a QR for this, No Intro String in Ganon Room, under Misc Rules.
It is in 2.53.0 Beta 14 and 2.54 Alpha 23
