Problems with alt. Link sprite

I have encountered a problem when I changes Link's sprite to some custom I made. When I walk upward and when I use an item in any direction everything is fine, but when I walk down, right, or left Link turns invisible... I have checked the sprites and they're not the problem because if I change the sprites around I still only see Link when walking upwards etc. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Some item has a Link tile mod set. The shield, most likely.
