I know this shit is ancient, but how do we set it up?
I want to make CSet 14 change without hardcoding 8 total CSets
Why? I have no idea...

Bump... I'm curious on this one too. My first quest might not be overtly complex due to lack of coding experience but future projects are likely to be more complicated and involve a lot more scripting, so this would be good to know.
Lost my wings and grew 8 tentacles... I've seen enough Hentai to know where this is going....
Wait, I didn't think that CSet 14 was ever made usable in any practical sense. This is probably an @Gleeok or @Saffith question... (Probably more of a DarkDragon thing, really, but he really isn't likely to reply.)
If I'm not mistaken, those colours are reserved for system use, but you can't manually use them for tiles, or sprites. Only changing the palette for a pointer, or a combo by script, could ever utilise them, but I have no idea how each swatch is derived, or if they are static. Is there supposed to be some logical system by which they are derived; as he latter half of the swatches are not from any other palette. I'm going to need to read up on the ESP CSet, as I never paid much attention to it, aside from the bug in 2.50.0 RCs that mucked up boss palettes, if you used those colours on the subscreen.

@ZoriaRPG
CSet 14 is the Extra Sprite Palette.
CSet 15 is reserved for system use.
Oh, I feel foolish. You're right, and that makes all the sense in the world, filling in the colour map (F0 to FF). I somehow thought that the system colours were derived from CSet 14, but looking at them in the editor for the first time in three-ish years, they are clearly not the same. The bug from the 2.50.0 betas somehow corrupted one, if the other was used though. That was probably a contributing factor in why I thought that they were related. (In that beta, the system colours did in fact change, based on CSet 14.)
One thing I'll note, is that almost all of the docs state not to use CSet 14, or Pal 14, which is probably why I never did, because both are reserved for future expansion, or other system uses.
I just wish that item sprites could use extra palettes, as that would be incredibly useful. All the documentation on palettes, including extra palettes, is limited.
Would you be at all interested in writing up new docs for palette usage?
