All (well, all proper; or most) Wikis have at least one staff editor, to determine if a modification should be permitted. If so, they apply a commit action. Without this kind of protection, anyone could just go in, make whatever changes they wish, remove information, corrupt information, and so forth, with no method of preventing that kind of abuse.

A Wiki can be set to be private, only to allow authorised users to make contributions, too; and user permissions on private Wikis may require a specific level to make changes, or submit contributions.

The problem with the ZC WIki, is that it seems that no-one is out there, to either elevate user permissions, or to commit changes. I do believe that user permissions are broken though.
