Random Poetry

In my Creative Writing class, at the end of most classes, we like doing something called 5 Minute Poetry. Each person picks a word, all the words are placed on the board, and then everyone must write a poem within 5 minutes that must include all words on the board.


Seeing as this is a forum, I do think it'd be kind of hard to enforce "5 minutes". Instead, just make a poem that includes 5 words stated by someone previously. I personally wouldn't put a whole lot of thought into these though, just write and see what comes out. We're not here to judge, only to share and enjoy. The only restrictions on the words is that they cannot be pronouns.

A trap, laid in desperation
Along the corner. There is no leeway for moderation.
Dusty cheese waits on the trigger, but it will do no good.

In a jungle, lost from the city
I wandered far, I wondered what for
I crossed the accountants, I crossed the accounted
When a rabid ocean ran me over
No longer was I my playful self
For I could only wonder why I wandered
Crossing my fingers and all that cross my path
I am caught in a slingshot
And never will I escape



Accountants caught me off guard, haven't seen one as random as that before, lol.
