I'd made the ladder just a straight mountain. It will help let the screen breathe.

Also, close the corners man! Close 'em!

I know this is pretty much an old post but I might add my two cents in regardless.

I understand that, and I honestly blame myself for that. The way I designed the water tiles for Jared forced him to do that. But I consider what perspective he is using is "MC perspective".

With that kind of logic I could ask why are there enemies in quests? Because that's not realistic. Why does Link have three hearts? Because that's not realistic.

I think it would fit much better with gameboy perspective mountains. Maybe that last part's just me.
Well, they aren't really many castle tiles that fit LttP's perspective. And honestly changing the mountains to GB perspective is going to destroy some of the awesome mountains structure he has going on in other screens.

Thanks, I'll be sure to work on it in the future, but right now, it works. Shells aren't walkable, so I'll be sure not to place a seashell near an edge of a screen next time lol.
EDIT: Thank you too, Lynker. =)

Very nice. They all seem very similar, though. I can't explain why though. Kind of braindead atm. All well designed though.

Well, maybe it's just my style, so they all look similar?

Maybe I have just seen so many of your shots that I am starting to feel that way.

I like the idea, but they don't mesh well together. Hot lava, right next to snow, ice etc?

Storyline wise, it's kind of like a different dimension. So that was intentnional. I wanted an unrealistic world, like mystical.

    Ah, okay!
The purples could use a bit of gray. They seem a bit neon right now.
