    Post Screenshots of Your Quests! [v2.0]

    Welcome to the new quest screenshot thread! You know the drill. I guess I'll start us off with some random crap I have lying around. The first two are from quests I haven't finished yet, and the last two are from Depressive Donuts: I Hate Mayonnaise 2. I'm aware the subscreen in the first shot sucks -- it's not finished and it's there for functional purposes rather than aesthetic ones.

    And this isn't really a screenshot, per se, but I'm posting it here anyway.

    If you're looking for the old thread, it's right here. (I guess technically this is at least the third thread, since apparently there were screenshot threads like this even before the last one. I guess the first one was 0.5 or something. Whatever.)

    --------

    These shots all come from my WIP quest, Zelda's Last Wish.

    A shot of a section of Death Mountain. Since a L2 Peahat was planned for ZC, I decided to add it in myself (not scripted, btw).

    Another shot of a section of Death Mountain. These new enemies are called Seraphs and they behave like Keese/Bats. The L2 Seraphs (these are L1 Seraphs) are nigh-impossible to kill with the Wooden Sword thanks to a nasty trick I found involving tribbles...

    This many Darknuts in Level 3? MADNESS! :V
    In all seriousness, they are easy to kill with Bombs or Spin Attack. You will be seeing many more in Level 3.

    Camofols, another custom enemy. Just watch out for their nasty habit of turning invisible!
    The Legend of Zelda: Zelda's Last Wish.
    Progress: 99% complete. (Overworld: 100%, Dungeons: 99% overall).
    ETA: Pending.
    Beta/Demo: Out now!

    Okay, I get it. I'm new to this site, but I'm also on PureZC.

    Here's some shots from my first quest, "The Islands of Zelda":
    Beginning Title Screen

    Each main island has an info shop. Go there to learn about that island and if you need hints for secrets (such as maze paths) in that area.

    Some islands are more civilized than others. This one even has a harbormaster!

    I wonder where that ship goes?

    Having not found Zelda on the overworld, Link journeys to the underworld.

    I think I'll post some links later...
    Beware the howl!!!

    ZC Quest Progress:
    The Islands of Zelda - 92.4% complete

    Randomness:
    Spoiler: show
    Just an idea I had for an advertisement:

    Come to the town of Chewandswallow, and you, too, can look like me!

    Think it will be effective? :)

    Please ignore the lack of detail in this screen. I am more interested in criticisms of the palette. As in choice of colors. What you see here is the Death Mountain of Souls of Wisdom 2. The explanation of this version of Death Mountain is that after Link defeated Ganon in Souls of Wisdom, he wished to the Triforce to destroy the Dark World. However, a piece of the Dark World got pulled into the Light world in Death Mountain, giving a Dark world spirit without the evil eerie feeling. I call this palette Twilight Winter. Criticisms please.

    If you ask me, feel like the pink shade on the ground are too bright. I think the mountains might be a little too bright as well.

    These are from a currently unnamed, and surprisingly fast-moving spur of the moment project of mine. I'm going for a particular aesthetic here, and I realize some people will hate it, but if you are a fan of ZC quests with graphics inspired by Chinese pirated SNES/ NES carts, than this is the quest for you . The trees, and house interior walls are custom. A few other things here and there are custom too. This is probably the most spriting I've ever done, and since I'm not the best spriter, that is also a reason for the artistic direction. If you are curious, dungeons will still use the traditional Zelda perspective.

    I really do like your style. It has an elegant simplicity to it.
    Your Link, however, does not fit. You need to adjust his palette to give him more contrast (Make his face brighter, and his hat and tunic darker), or else he blends too severely with the background. I couldn't even see him in the first image before squinting.

    EDIT:
    @Majora
    That screen is a jaw-dropper. Wow.

    @NewJourneysFire
    It's a nice shot, but I agree with Phazite. You need to thin out some of the salmon from the palette.

    @Lightwulf
    Your neoclassic tileset is great! I especially like the townsfolk.

    @trudatman
    You already know how I feel about Sticks and Stones. That style is so unique it's mind-blowing.

    @Seastorm
    Those classic shots are nice, but I like your gameboy stuff better.
    Also, is that a lava zora in the first screen?!

    @Rambly
    Your palette is awesome. And I don't know what you're talking about, the sub-screen on the first shot rules!
