    Unhappy Discoloration...

    Hey, I'm new to the forums, but not as new to ZC. I've got a bit of a problem here...

    Whenever I start up ZC 2.10, the one that lets you play quests, the colors get rather odd. Basically, the background turns pink, Link's skin is some weird color, and the fire for the Armageddon logo is completely wrong. The same problem would occur with the ZQuest, but only if it was full screen. When i turned off the full screen, it wouldn't have any color problems. Unfortunately I can't seem to turn off fullscreen for Zelda Classic.

    Is there any way to solve this problem?

    The new beta builds fix the allegro color and fullscreen issues in 2.10. http://www.shardstorm.com/

    Unfortunately there's no color fix for 2.10 besides killing windows explorer, though ZCLauncher can open ZC in a window if you don't want to mess with command lines or editing the config file; which alternatively would be fullscreen=2; resx = 640; resy = 480; sbig = 1;

    Try downloading ZC 2.10.2. It comes with ZC Launcher, which allows you to run ZC in windowed mode. Or you could check the Misc Menu in ZC. That's where the Full Screen Option is.

    I don't see where the fullscreen option is in the config file. Is that this "win_mode=etc..." thing? I tried setting that to 2 and the screen doesn't even show up. It just loads, and immediately closes without even showing the window. However, i did change the resolution, so thanks for the help so far.

    I've tried 2.10 and Vista. Bad mix. Vista isn't really that "backwards" compatible should I say, with certain things, granted 2.10 came out before it... Changing the compatibility mode to Windows XP could help. The recent betas work good with Vista as they are new, I think 1008 is the newest one.
