Of course. I extracted the files into the directory. I also ran the ZC Checker and all the files were in place.
What's so important about the special build anyway?

The specifics of the scripting language and other parts of Zquest differ from build to build. If you played Lost Isle on another build, the enemies and other parts of the game would be screwed up/not work as intended.
I don't know how else to help you other than asking what version of Vista you have. 32-bit or 64-bit?
I have 32 bit Vista.
I'm going to delete everything and try reinstalling it. Here's hoping...
EDIT: Nope, nothing. What a shame.
I got Vista and was afraid how ZC would react. But thank GOD I can play quests on Vista too!! Some people can't.
I got it kinda working on my machine... everything displays and sounds fine, but the framerate approaches 450. So I clicked cap FPS in the launcher, but it still runs at turbo speed. The FPS throttle is off. How can I get it down to a reasonable FPS?
EDIT: Nevermind, I turned throttle FPS back on and the framerate stabilized...
I found a bug of sorts... in the third level, after the ammunition room and the puzzle, there's a room with star switches. If you try to go through this room without a key, you'll lock yourself in and you have to quit out of the game.
I've been having a blast with this. I got to lv5, did all I could up to the sandman miniboss, and no weapon I have hurts him. I've hit him with everything I have when his eyes are open. What am I missing?
Ah of course...
Final play time, 21 hours. Good stuff!
