3. 240-color tiles where you can actually see the correct colors for the last 16 colors in the palette.
Pick 2. Before, we had 1 and 2. People complained that they were seeing wrong colors for the last cset in 8-bit color mode in the tile editor, so now we have 2 and 3. The remaining option is to make it so that you can only have 224-color tiles in 8-bit mode (you'd use Csets 0-13 instead of 0-14 like you do now). That way, you get your pretty color cursors, the Win95-style interface, and correct 8-bit colors (though you'd lose the ability to use CSet 14 with 8-bit tiles).
