ZQUEST LARGE MODE, why is the minimap so small?

theres a blank slot above the minimap display, why not rearange it and make the minimap bigger like it is when not in LARGE mode?

I am pretty sure that the minimap is the same size, just it looks smaller since it's at a higher resolution.

In order to make the map bigger (say, twice as big), you'd have to rearrange the panels at the bottom. Maybe make the buttons smaller, so as to increase the size of the black space, and fit the map in there?

After 2.5 is released, someone should change Large Mode to look like one of those mockups. The idea with the palette editor is pretty good. But after 2.5. Not before. After.

What is the picture for? Everyone is aware of what the minimap is.

the text under it can be moved to the far right and the minimap enlarged vertically.

i have trouble choosing columns (vertical) on the map and not rows (horizontal). just extend the height of the minimap if at all possible?

Re: ZQUEST LARGE MODE, why is the minimap so small?

I've been sotrming up some ideas in my head for a new interface as well. The only thing is it would probably need to be in 1024x768 unless I make the whole interface tab-heavy, as I was thinking of having things such as the palette, undercombo, warps, secret combos, guy/item/flag/string selections, a larger minimap, plus many other things available right from the main window, while still keeping things such as the favorites, multiple screen buttons, and of course those nifty little command buttons, which could actually be shrunk down somewhat, especially vertically, to make even more room in the current large interface. I don't have a picture of what it would all look like done yet though.
Current Projects: None. Might do something if I ever have the free time again.
