Yoshiman: Let's see... try adding some broken objects here and there. A few cracks in the houses might help too. Oh right, and some more rocks here and there. Aside from that, it looks fairly decent right now. Just pointin' somethin' out here - If that light reflection on the blue rim of the house is so bright, then why is it the rest of the desert looks pretty dim? Mayhaps a bit of a palette change to make it look a little lighter?
*b*: The first shot looks gorgeous... only thing that I might complain about is that the trees have practically no shadow. The second shot looks fine but... compared to the darkness of the water, the cliffs are BRIGHT (as well as the grass). If you can, try making it a bit darker. You probably already intend on changing the top of that pillar, but I'll say it anyways - boring... needs a bit of detail (and I'm one to say that... I can't even make a pillar... hehe..). As for the whole water area... it's a bit confusing. If you look at it from right to left, then it's fine. If you look at it from left to right however... then it's hard to tell what is and what isn't underwater. When just playing the game and you come to that screen... then you probably wouldn't care. So it's fine, really...
