A Link to the Darkness question...

Hi all, I know I'm old enough to be your mother, but I've been playing Zelda games since the very first one, and I've just recently discovered Zelda Classic and the custom quests. My favorite by far is A Link To The Darkness. Brilliant and engaging, however I've run into a problem and want to know if it's a bug or am I just overlooking something.

In the second play area is a room with a red octorok that as soon as you step on him, you seem to "fall" into a room with a bunch of red and blue octoroks and the hyper music playing. I've killed them all twice but nothing else happens, the music continues, and it looks like there's no way out of the room. Can anyone help with this?

Welcome to AGN, I hope you're enjoying ZC. :) I personally have not played the quest in question, unfortunately I've been away from ZC far too long. However, the nice folks in the ZC forums should have an answer to your question.

First welcome and you would be suprised to see your really not that old in this section ( you really couldn't be my mother)
I think it's a bug I never got passed that myself.
Not if you only kill the blue ones,
Not if you only kill the red ones and,
Not if you kill them all.

For that room in the second play area, you need to walk over the top of the octorock square, not right through it. That way, you will pass safely. The same applies to the stalfos symbol in the second room.
