I dont' know how long this one has been around, but I figured I'd share it anyway cause its a bug nonetheless
when doing sprite animations, say for instance you want the golden arrow to be animated in the subscreen.. you pick the number of frames, then the time, etc.. in game, it looks great UNTIL you shoot the arrow << and >> it uses the same sprite as the ^^ and V V one. animations and all... here's what my tilesheet looks like
U1 U2 U3 U4 L1 L2 L3 L4
the U's are the arrow up animation. they work fine
the L's are the left animation.. they SHOULD work when put in the editor..
so the final gives you U1 - U4 for the up animation, down just flips in vertically
on left and right, it uses U2, because normally when you select the sprite it's just U and L... it does U2, U3, U4, and then back to U1... filling the 4th sprite... wtf is going on here?? i don't know what else this happens with, but i've only tried it to the arrows.
