Even though it has the Win Amp Icon it is most likely still a midi. Have you already tried it?

Why does it matter where it opens up to? It just matters on what the extension of the file is. Midis can still be played in both programs. What extension is it?

Have you tried it? If not, try it, and if you can't download one of the midi editors that are posted and see if one of them save that type as .mid

No, .mods don't work in Zquest.
Don't mean to play Rent-a-mod but this doesn't belong here.

yes it does zelda lord, I've been here longer thn you have and i know the ropes. this does belong here because i want a .mod file converted into .mid format so I can use it in ZQuest
It can be converted using the right software.. but the right software is hard to come by, and it generally doesnt work that well.... Check out the pinned topic at the top of zc suggestions, it'll have a link to plans for new versions of zc, see if mod support is in the pipeline..
