I had that happen once... but it was in v1.9 :). Somehow, the computer glitched, and it ran windowed. It didn't really work though.

this is the real deal, no glitch (btw I updated the picture). I just hacked the executable, changed only two bytes in zquest, six in zelda. Now we just need to convince DN to do this himself. As for giving it to you, not until DN sez it's okay. Then I'll provide a patcher which should work for all future versions until DN implments this himself. It did crash on me once, so it may not be fully stable.

Hmm.. if it's so simple to do it begs the question why hasn't it been done before? So many people wanted ZC to run windowed

it had to be using directX first for me to hack it. why DN hasn't done it?
