As much as I dislike Bush for the way he does things, I must admit he is mildly entertaining.

Demographics aside (though a factor I totally forgot about when asking my question), the point I was trying to make was that you guys ("you guys" as in "America") voted for him, and now most of you hate him. Not once, but twice. So basically it's your ("your" as in "America's") fault if you don't like him.

Atma: "Retardo" described him much better than "George".
Pineconn: Over 50 million people voted against George Bush in 2004. It's not our fault that the other 55 million people are gullible and/or ignorant and/or braindead. You can't just blame it on all of us. There's really nothing we can do besides cast our one vote and hope for the best.
Yeah it's kind of silly to say that since he got the majority of votes, everyone in America supported him. The last two elections have been pretty close.
Maybe next time around the Democrats will send someone up to bat that people actually want to vote for? I'm pretty sure at this point the Republicans could run Jesus and fail to get enough support, but if the Democrats roll out another John Kerry the Republicans might actually have a chance.
(Holy crap, Beldaran, you have a 'reputation beyond repute'. How many points do you have now?)
Technically, Bush didn't even get the majority of the votes in 2000, Gore did (assuming my memory isn't failing me). But according to the electoral votes system, and some of the Florida voters' stupidity, Bush won.
According to Wikipedia, 39,920,562 people voted for Bush, and 44,754,618 voted for Kerry in the 2004 election. Assuming Wikipedia's estimates are correct, you are calling one particular group of people (which happens to be 13.3% of America's population), based on for whom they voted in 2004, gullible and/or ignorant and/or braindead?Originally Posted by Beldaran
And also, I was very wrong. It was 13.3% of America's decision that Bush should be president the second time. Thank you for correcting my horribly-implemented and very horrible logic. :p

Which wikipedia are you reading? According to the real wikipedia, Bush won the popular vote in 2004, 62 million to 59 million.
So 59 million people voted against Bush, and 62 million people fucked us in the perverbial ass.
I have 2066 reputation points. They are like precious stones to me. I count them each night before I go to bed. I talk to them. I think of them wistfully on rainy days as my eyes probe the ethereal fog of this lonely Earth. I gaze into the stars at night, moved by the grandeur and mystery of the universe, and I gently sigh to myself... "2066...". Then I shed a small tear of happiness and go to bed. It keeps me going.
In 2000 I voted for Gore, just like the majority of American voters, and Florida screwed us.
In 2004 I didn't end up voting because my registration was all screwed up. I changed it to my address at college but the change didn't go through and since I didn't know that, I didn't apply for an absentee ballot. I would have voted for Kerry, but Kerry won my state anyway so it was all good.
At least I know I am set for 2008. I already voted last year for other local elections so I know I am good to go.
Oh, wait. I was getting the facts from this page. I was reading the first table, assuming that it was for presidency, but it was really for Senate. What threw me off was right above the table they have "United States presidential election, 2004" but this was only linking to the page you read from. My error. So, in short, ignore every post I made in this thread.
I don't function well on Saturdays.

I didn't want to vote either Kerry or Bush in 04, but that would leave only green party, and NOBODY GOES THERE. So, it was either retard, or ritardando'. Which one of the two has the shorter and thus easier to remember name? Exactly.
