If you haven't seen the in game footage of Metal Gear Solid 4 yet, I'd recommend watching it. I'm almost convinced to drop $600 just so I can play it.

It's going to be a damn fine game... But I don't know if 1 game is enough to make me throw $500 away....

I don't know about dropping that much money to play it, but it's certainly going to be a system seller. One of few highly wanted exclusive games for PS3. I'll certainly pick it up sometime, not sure if I'd rush out right away for it though.
I won't be able to. I'll have to wait until I get back from Iraq anyway. So in about 2009 I'll get to play it. meh

I'm pretty sure I read the other day that Sony was upset because of comments made to the effect that to make it economically viable there were plans to make MGS4 cross-platform so you may not have to pay $600 to play it.
It all depends on whether Hideo Kojima has his dick in Sony's mouth or vice versa I guess.
Y'know, I enjoy the Metal Gear games myself, but they aren't anywhere CLOSE to good enough to make me buy a system just for it.
