Way to go Sean! ^_^ Thank you for this!
Updated this fixes a few issues with zquest.

you shouldn't have posted direct links to the files everywhere on the forums... you should be linking people to a thread with the downloads so that you can update the thread and keep all links pointing to the newest update.
unless you did do this
Computer specifications:
Windows 10 Pro x64 | Intel Core i7 @ 2.66GHZ | Asus P6T Motherboard | 6GB DDR3 RAM | Integrated Sound | Nvidia Geforce 560 Ti 2048MB PCI-E | Corsair AX760 Power Supply | Thermaltake Armor+ MX case
Thank you! I wish I had checked here more frequently. I love you.
A girl and a boy bump into each other - surely an accident. A girl and a boy bump and her handkerchief drops - surely another accident. But when a girl gives a boy a dead squid - that has to mean something.
If there are still problems under linux let me know. Except the no music issue :p

In re the sound issue under Linux, the best I can determine is that the sound files are in sfx.dat, which the 'file' command tells me is an Allegro datafile.
Does that mean I need to install Allegro (for sound in particular, or ZC quest programming in general). And which file do I copy or symlink to the zc2102lin directory to get sound working?
Allegro is 3.1 meg download size. Seems a lot when I just need one small part. But, if I gotta do it, then I gotta do it.
no... just get sound drivers xD nah i dunno, im not a linux junky.

Thanks for the linux build.
About the no sound issue I get this message while running:
Maybe this info can help with the issue.Code:ALSA lib rawmidi_hw.c:233:(snd_rawmidi_hw_open) open /dev/snd/midiC0D0 failed: No such file or directory
Ok, googling around, I found a workaround:

It works for me.
