it's been a while since I've posted anything about ST here, hasn't it? well, I've been busy, and now I need your opinions on something. Which pallete looks better?

the second one, but lighten it up JUST A TAD, so that its darker than the former screenshot but lighter than the latter and you got a good palette.

Well I think the first one looks better than the second one. I just think the brighter one is better for an overworld.

I would go with the second one. (Again though, do the ol' 789 thing in the palatte editor for each color once to brighten it up a little. ) It has 'personality.' The other one is just ... overworld.
i'd go w/ the first one, if for a main overworld, if for a dark level, like a dungeon or somethin', i go for the 2nd; so what i'm saying is i guess, is that it all depends on what you're intention of using it for is

both shots are part of the main overworld. also, you should know that Hyrule, in my game, is under heavy cloud cover, so take that into consideration...
In that case, the second one makes more sense because it has the look of heavy cloud cover, even though the first one would look better otherwise.
By the way, this is coming from someone who tends to like dark colors...

I like the second one better. I like darker pallettes in Zelda games. It gives it a more medieval feel to it. Plus, if you story has a "dark" origin to it, (like Majora's Mask) the darker pallette would be better.
heh, if Lost Isle could get off the ground, the moods and palettes are VERY dark since it is a DARK story. lol
