If Link goes through a warp, such as a timed warp to the same screen, with "Sprites Carry Over During Warps" checked, if he is charging his sword, the sword will remain wherever it was before the warp, and Link will walk around like he's charging, but with the sword disconnected. If you release he'll "spin attack" in a way that makes the noises, but does not move the sword, and then the sword will vanish. He can also still tink off of solid objects while separated.

I have seen this in 2.50.1, 2.50.2, and 2.54 beta 46. I suspect it's in all versions above 2.50.
