Do either of you have time to fix the GitHub repos?
AFAIK, 'master' is abandoned, and should be relabelled.
Then, either 2.50.x should be moved to 'master' and a new branch '2.5x' should be established; or 2.5x should be created as 'master'.
I would like to push some stuff, but there is no appropriate branch set up.

I would like to second this. Having a master that isn't actually the master is just plain confusing.
This will happen imminently. We are preparing what will become the new master branch in /cmake. Please take a look and let me know if you anticipate any problems.
