I would say so, yes, and there are far more serious reasons to boycott Nintendo than just "weird consoles"

You were last in Japan, when? I've never experienced any issues walking into a game shop there. Mostly Osaka though, so it could be that?

Also, don't forget the gigantic market for H-Games over there, that for whatever reason, doesn't hit the west at all.

Hmm, so is the Otaku hatred overblown then? Cus I'd love to be wrong about this. Though, it doesn't change the fact that Nintendo said that gamers, their own audience, are misogynists. But yeah, if Japanese gamers don't have it as bad I thought, that's a good thing.
