Mechanics and Tricks for Advanced Music

This one is for the Zelda Classic Devs currently on duty.

I've got a chiptune artist who is happy to help me put some music in Zodiac, and perhaps write some original stuff for the game. I tried to insert some Mp3s into the game using the DMap editor, but nothing plays. I placed the MP3 in the same directory that contains ZClassic. That directory is one level up from the folder containing the .qst file.

Are there any tricks or tips to using the advanced music editor? Should I ask him to put them in a different format, like .ogg, that might work better?

The mp3s have to be in the same directory as the quest.

Download Lands of Serenity today! You will be knocked comatose by its sheer awesomeness.
The Titan's Quest, best played in the bathroom as the excitement can be somewhat...overwhelming.

Okay, I'll give that a shot and see if it works.
