Nintendo knew a remake of Ocarina of Time would sell, because it's fucking Ocarina of Time. Majora's Mask was not as popular, and to remake it required some certainty that they'd make money. The cameos in Link Between Worlds probably convinced them to go through with it.

Also, come on, if they had waited till after Hyrule Warriors to even consider this game, we'd not have such a fleshed out trailer so soon.
note to self: don't post after a night out. Sorry for coming across like such a dick!

Hey, no worries, you didn't come across that way at all. :)

I am actually curious now to see how well the remake sells once it's released. Were the somewhat lower sales of the N64 version due to the expansion pak requirement, or were people just not as interested in the game? I'm wondering if the remake will do any better as far as sales go. Even though I'm not the game's biggest fan, I really hope it doesn't have low sales because of negative response to the Operation Moonfall crowd, or because the only people who wanted the game were a vocal minority (not saying they are a minority).

I figured they were working on it already. It wouldn't make sense for them to remaster Ocarina Of Time and not even think about the possibility of making the next game based on that engine. I mean who would miss out on making a little extra money

Also my gamestop hasn't opened Pre-orders yet for the game so for now I have to play the waiting game (which let me remind everyone I fucking hate the waiting game), me and the GS employees are really hoping for a Speicial edition of the game to come out in the USA. Hopefully one like what the Europe is getting.

Comparison video. 3DS compared to the N64. Looks like a slight change in animation on some things as well as updated graphics.
