In the Zelda games for the N64, there were switches and buttons that were pressure sensitive, only reacting so long as something was on top of them. Remove the weight and they'd shut off. Or there were the switches that you'd press (or strike) and then they were set to a timer, whatever effect they caused turning off (or back on) after a couple of seconds. Other than warping back and forth between different nearly identical rooms, is there a tidier way to design such switches? Perhaps a way to swap back and forth between trigger states? That's a solution that would also solve my conundrum regarding a lever that opens up one door and closes another based on the last direction it was pulled!
