Casltevania: Legacy of Darkness. I don't know what it is, but this game has a particular charm to it that other games don't. It's strange, considering a lot of people actually hate this game.
Alundra. The first one, anyway.
Excellent music, a storyline that turns gruesomely dark about a third of the way through; a medium-sized cast of lovable characters (that keep being killed by their dreams)!, and extensive puzzle-action mixing. It's just an amazing game.
