    PS2 controller issue?

    (copypasta from my facebook)

Anyone have any idea what is going on here? The triangle, cricle, R1, and R2 buttons don't work on this PS2 controller. Circle will fire off randomly, however (never when pushed down). So here she is disassembled down to the pcb, and by manually connecting the circuits with the pads, all other buttons work - except for those four? I see no issue with wires on the pcb.

Even now as the controller is apart, with nothing touching the circuits the circle button ghost fires. What causes this?

[edit]dropbox is being weird with direct linking now? I dunno, click the link I s'pose[/edit]

Does the circle stop firing when you press the button? It's possible the controller has experienced a short and the button's signal was reversed.
I don't know a whole lot about this stuff, though, so I hope you can fix it. When my PS2 controller failed I went to Gamestop and picked up a generic to replace it.
