Long Swords (2x1 and 1x2 swords?)

So I noticed in 2.50 in the included Zelda 1 tile edits, amongst the regular 1x1 tile swords, there are some 1x2 and 2x1 length sword tiles. What's the protocol for making the sword use 2 tiles (or in the case of slashing, 4, 2x2) instead of 1?

Is this what the Misc number box is for? I assume it's not animation, but maybe? Help?

It's just a guess but I would say those are probably only possible with scripting.
Although a CreateLWeapon(1,x,y) for swordage doesn't work, loading the sword as soon as it's on the screen, getting rid of it's sprite and replacing it with a different one and making a dummy weapon of however X,Y you would like would be fine.

I planned on making a 'Great Fairy Sword' type sword for my game like the one in Majora's Mask at some point, and haven't gotten around to it yet..
I imagine it can only be done by scripting.

Interesting. I had plans to make a spear to replace the sword at one point in my quest, which would obviously have the extra reach. But no official item specs huh? Shame.
