    General Discussion Description

    As I try to think of ways to make us more "user friendly" I keep coming back to this.

    This is the place to go off topic and discuss anything. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

    I wonder if new/younger members would mistake that to mean there is porn or illegal activity within the forum...or even douchebag elitists?

    ...I don't know. Despite the fact that the quote is so aged, it has been mocked repeatedly in pretty much any science-fiction comedy I can think of.

    But I'm leaning towards pitching it, if you think it implies illegal content.

    I feel like the saying is one of the foundations of AGN. It would feel so strange not to see that every day.

    Perhaps italicizing the quote might help? I think adding "Just kidding." after it won't help, naturally.

    lol seriously though, I was never very attached to the description. That said, by no means am I against the quote as I think changing it to prevent misunderstanding is just silly, however I do like ShadowTiger's idea to italicize it.

    I personally love the quote. I think a lot of people know where it's from especially given the type of people that this board typically attracts. It's a good thing. I do like ST's suggestion of putting the quote in italics and making it stand out as different which would separate it from the main description of the board.
