Suffering at the hands of Link's defeat once again, Ganon realized his old tactics of kidnapping Zelda and building 8 dungeons in which to hide the keys to his personal lair was not working very well. So, he decided to try something new for once.
Using the blackest of magics, he cast a curse on Link, transforming him into a simple sphere, and stripping him of all his weaponry. Alas, in this form, Link could not even USE a sword, let alone collect it. To make things worse, Ganon sent an army of ghosts into the land, terrorizing the people.
Laughing, Ganon retreated to his lair with Zelda under his arm and declared victory. The party is to be held the next day...
There is a ray of hope, though. In his new form, Link discovered that he can do exactly one thing: Eat tiny round objects. Luckily, as a side effect of the curse, there happens to be a whole bunch of them laying around! Even more luckily, these small round objects are actually fragments of the magic Ganon used to curse Link!
So, Link must travel the land and eat the dots, munching a path to Ganon's lair. There, he must find some way to defeat Ganon, save the Princess, and restore himself to his human form!
