[Winter 08] The Legend of Zelda: The Hylian Phoenix by Migokalle

These fields where once raged by war... A great war...
    ...
Heroes stood up against the undefeatable enemy.

Heroes died to the undefeatable enemy...

    Slain...
    Slain by the enemy...

Soldiers where lying in these fields.
    Dead...

A great hero stood up and made the enemy retreat and won the war.
He was honoured as the Hero of Men...

But even though the war was over...

    People had lost their homes.
Most people kept on with their lives...

The parents of a young boy disappeard before the end of the war.

The uncle of the boy took care of him and moved to the not so far away land, called Celdena.

They settled in the Celdena Highlands
    ...

That is the intro story of my newest quest, The Legend of Zelda: Hylian Phoenix.
    The game is about everything.
    Atleast everything in Hyrule's history.
It will explain alot of stuff that has gone unexplained in other Zelda titles.
Like, how the Master Sword was made and why.

The game locates itself in the timeline between OoT and TP/WW.
It will try to explain some of the split timeline issues, but also create new questions at the same time.

This isn't one of those ''gather the triforces, kill Ganon, get the girl'' quests.
The triforce isn't even a collectable in this quest. At one point of the quest, you'll have to gather tree or six keys, but that's about it.

There'll be alot of dungeons too. I don't have any specific number right now.

One of the most intresting parts about the quest, is that in various times through the quest, the player will meet someone who wants to tell him about somthing that happened a long time ago. Sometimes, the player will be playing these stories. Like playable cutscenes. Let's say that if Link meets a ghost, the ghost tells Link about ancient Hyrule. Link will then walk around the overworld that is presented in this ''cutscene'' and fight enemies, talk to people and maybe even do a dungeon or two. Sometimes, even his appearence will change!

The story is a HUGE part of this quest. The story is very deep and complex, with unexpected twists and turns aroung every corner.

I'm gonna steal the words of a very good friend of mine here at pure: ''I want this quest to feel like a real Zelda game. To feel like somthing that Nintendo could have made!''
And that is the feeling I want too!
I'm going for the big ratings here with this quest!

I hope this has been intresting to read through and that you enjoyed it.
Now, I will use this topic to post more info when I've got anything I feel I should release.
I'll also post screenshots from time to time.

Now, feel free to ask any questions you want to ask, along with comments on screenshots and story.
See ya later. Now, enjoy some screens:

And for those in confusion: Yes, this IS the same game as ''The Master Sword'' but I wanted to change the name, along with addign new and updated info. Thanks for reading guys!

I'm sorry, but I really don't understand your question. I mean I think your grammar is fine, but it's the terminology you're using. They don't fit together, like, "Use the sheep on the log and eat the barn with the house sun."----Shadowtiger----

Wind Waker 2 is canceled on my side... thank god...
Now, if Amaster42 for some weird reason wants to finish it, ''have fun'' cause I sure as **** won't...

I don't really know, as I haven't played any FF games...

Oh well, when you first get out of Midgar and into some small crappy town, Cloud tells the story of him and Sephiroth or summat, but you actually play through it.

And then it comes back in more detail later on lots, when you realise that Cloud was actually wrong and think's he's that other guy that I forget the name of.
    Kurt or summat.

Hmmm... I don't know why, but it just seems like that Link sprite doesn't really 'fit in' with the MC graphics that well...

I hate to tell you, but that Link sprite is MC Link. He's just been made smaller to be used in ZC. And trust me, he's the best Link sprite avalible at the moment. All of the other ones look like junk. Especially Pure Link.

I can see how it's the closest to the tile set, but it just looks slightly off. Maybe it's just me
