The quest will end after Link steps on a "Zelda" flag, and to start the game all you need is to load the custom quest in Zelda Classic and start playing.
If you were indeed asking a different set of questions then I apologize. You see, my web browser's "translate incomplete sentence" feature doesn't seem to be working properly today.

Perhaps he meant an opening screen and an ending script?

For a title screen, just draw it like normal, and then select the "Invisible Link" screen flag. Then place link at the bottom edge and make a side warp off that edge to your first screen. Put some text saying "Push down" or somesuch.
    Voila!

Well, I'm not entirely sure, but I believe that scripts are a new feature in (I think) 2.5 betas, that allow you to do things you couldn't normally do, such as have Epona in your game. I kind of meant some sort of animated thing, like in A Link to the Heavens' intro.

Yeah, scripts allow the system to do a lot of extra things, but making animated introductions isn't scripting-essential at all.

Plus, if you are just starting ZC, you won't want to get into advanced stuff like scripting so quickly.
