    Re: Game Music

i find myself listing to game music far more than regular music as well as remix...

    Sonic the Hedgehog series
    Pokemon series
    Mega Man series
    Final Fantasy series
    SSBM
    F-Zero series
    Thunder Force IV
    Zelda series

there's really too much to list... almost all the stuff i listen to has it's own platform sound format.

Okay, so, I keep researching stuff, and my browser keeps crashing courtesy of my Netzero third party internet connection software, which is dumb. So no words beyond this rant, no descriptions, nothing. Google what I don't provide links for.

    Re: Game Music

My fav game music comes from Romancing Saga of late. I like Passionate Rythem and A Challenge to God -Four Guardian Kings Battle- along with Decisive Battle! Saruin -Final Battle with Saruin-, they all sound sweet. I got my mp3s of them on bluelaguna. As for OCremix, I haven't been there for awhile. My fav remix from there ever was a remix of the FF Mystic Quest battle theme which, sadly, has been dropped from the site for some time now. I also enjoyed Fire Cross, a remix of the Gilgamesh battle musid fro m FF5.

    Right. My playlist now has:

Command & Conquer Series (excluding C&C3)
Doom - The Dark Side of Phobos
    Half-Life
    Half-Life 2
    Half-Life Opposing Force
    Max Payne 2
    The Secret of Monkey Island

    Quake 2
    Romancing Saga
    Sonic 1 - Emerald Mix
    Sonic 2 - Hedgehog Heaven

(The Sonic I & III mixes are ones I've put together myself, with various tracks from OC Remix and similar sites. If you want to know what the individual tracks are, ask - I'll happily share them. Also, if any of the above list is a link, then you can legally download the albums for free by following said link. Because I care)

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. I just love everything about the game. Truth, Despair, and Hope; Determination; Grim Journey; From the Darkness; Lights in the Dark. If for some reason you haven't, play it. (A lot of FE fans think it's one of the worst installments, for some reason. It's the only FE I've ever played. Maybe I should change that.)

Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Mega Man, and Zelda games generally have good soundtracks too.

Having only ever played the two gameboy games, I can honestly say that I prefer the first to the second. The music in Sacred Stones was good, I agree. But compared to the one that came before, it's just not as good at all. I found myself not caring at all about any of the characters. Any of them. Being able to go through levels again, sort of, and build up my entire team was a nifty feature, but the story, especially the way it was told, just didn't work for me.

If you can find a copy of the other game, I heartily recommend it.

Also, the Cave Story soundtrack is groovy, if you don't mind the fact that the mp3's aren't set up to loop more than once.
