    Obviously I'm doing something wrong...

Well I tried making the first screen on my quest using grabbed 16-color palettes for some tiles.

    It looks perfect on ZQ...

...but when played on ZC it looks wrong.

    What did I do wrong?

Go to Quest-> Dmaps and the Dmap you're using for that map. Go to the 'Appearance' tab, and make sure the correct palette is loaded for that Dmap (as in the palette you're using on that screen).

Yeah I kinda wish that the screen palette you set will stay like that on ZC and it doesn't have to be the DMap palette. Does anyone know how to get around that without using different maps?

You couldn't have it do that, because then it would be loading information about the Dmap from the map - what if you loaded a Dmap with appearance purple for that screen, but it was coloured brown in the map? Or what if you wanted to use the screen twice on two different Dmaps in different palettes?

Does anyone know how to get around that without using different maps?
    eh?

Out of all the things I checked, I can't believe I forgot the Dmap settings. Thanks for showing me how to correct my novice mistake.
