Gotta say I side with Beldaran and DDX on this one, but I will say it's weird with Ivy cause she's so tall.

They removed him because of the story. You can't have a guy be in two places at once. Unless the 16th century had time travel, then it woulda made sense, but ya. I think it sucked with no Siegfried in the 2nd one. After going around and playing the older ones, I gotta say that some characters would be best left out of the 4th, but meh. Personally I think that the best characters in the 3rd one were (in no particular order or preference) :

    Nightmare
    Siegried
    Zasalamel(sp?)
Voldo (despite his choice of clothing, he's pretty fun to play as)
Rock (I don't know why, but I think he's cool. Meh.)
    Cervantes (sp?)
    Mitsurugi (sp?)
Talim (Again, I don't know why, but she's kinda cool.)

That's all I can think of who should definitely be in the 4th one. Beside the other chixorz.

The thing is, I've been a Siegfried player since the original Soul Blade. The sole exception being (naturally) SC2, where I played Nightmare. And although Nightmare is very similar to Siegfried... it just isn't the same. I did the happy geek dance for about an hour when I heard Siegfried was making a return in SC3. If they ever remove my favorite stance-swapping, giant sword-wielding german guy again, I will be most upset.

    Re: ATTN: Soul Calibur fans

I played Soul Caliber 2 for game cube. It was popular with many of my friends since button mashing worked really well. I for one dont like utton mashing much... but I did like more human players to fight.

SC4 is supposed to also be an online game, so I hope it wont be a button masher.
