As far as I know there are 2 ways: scripting, and link tile modification. Since I am a scripting caveman, I advise the second.

Link tiel mos are the way to go. Set the new Link, say, for example, 20 tiles in front of the old on, then go to the rign and set it's Link Tile Mod number to 20. But it could get wierd with shields.
Well, it shouldn't get weird so long as you put all of the correct tiles with the shields and stuff there in the correct places
Yeah, but you have to make a version of Link for every shield and transformed combination.
