It's an emt-basic class. Emergency Medical Technician. Basic is the first rank followed by intermediate then paramedic. 99% of people in my field skip the intermediate since you learn it all in paramedic.

One lab day is in the class working with the dummies learning how to do things and we also try not to kill each other when we practice some of the procedures. The second lab day will be at a hospital or in the class working hands on again.

What do you guys usually do with your breaks in between classes? I have a 3 hour break where I usually take a nap and go to lunch, but I think I might study instead of sleep today.

Well, I go to Athens Technical College. It's a rather small school, with a campus about the size of your average High School. It's a few miles away from the University of Georgia (UGA) which I'm sure many of you would recognize. The classes at the school are very high quality, and a lot of the UGA students get sent to ATC to do some of their classes.

I live about a 15-20 minute drive from ATC, so it's very convenient.

There have been times when I'd have a few hours inbetween classes. Rather than waste gasoline by driving back home, I'd just walk over to the library and either hang out with a buddy, or sit at one of the many computers in the library and either do some studying, or just surf the Internet. I'd usually also get a drink out of a vending machine.

God dang you for using Dial. Dial is ten times better than Ivory, which is what I use. It makes me smell worse after I'm done showering, I swear. o.o

Sounds like this deodorant I have. It doesn't downright smell, but the kind I had beforehand smelled tons better than the kind I have now. Good thing I don't sweat easily and don't have massive body odor that makes the deodorant kick in.

Everyone knows that the best soap to use is Irish Spring, no doubt at all.

    Re: So...

... and to be entirely random, Lava Soap is the best soap in the world. It'll really get those hard to pwn stains off of your hands and other miscellaneous body parts far better than any other soap. It has scrubbing powa!

    Re: So...

I'm reading something by Payer called Medicine and Culture. It's interesting to see what others thing about our medicine and how it important it is too us. For example, one of the big points they make is how we prescribe antibiotics if there is a chance of an infection. In other countries, it is only given if there is a bacterial infection AND the person is very sick. There's a lot of mention of American work ethic and germophobia, you should all read it if you can.

    Re: So...

Going back to soap... Lava Soap is great... but I do have to admit I use Irish Spring most of the time. It really does smell great and it wakes me up when I have to get ready as the ass crack of dawn.
