"Black spot" flashing in movie theaters

I remember Fight Club. That was a good yet pretty messed up movie.

I don't think I ever saw that before... but after reading this I've noticed it almost every time I go to a certain theater.

Yeah, it's a mark for a reel change. You can tell, sometimes too, where it seems to cut between scenes abruptly because it wasn't transitioned well.

Has anyone ever noticed 6 brown dots that appear on the screen every once and a while? They're set up like this...

I have no clue what they are.

It was just a split second to a "cue mark"! Strange.

Wow right when I saw this topic I also thought of Fight Club. That was a pretty awesome movie.
