i cant find lvl 7 for all its worth, or make any progress in the castle.

i have the wand already, and the compass from the castle, but neither is of much help for either of my current goals.

can anyone throw a spoiler in my general direction?

also, whats the riddle behind the melting ice blocks in the northwestern snow fields?
