Screen Problem

Whenever I start the game, the lower half of the screen is just black. It's not that the game screen is compacted into the upper half, it's that the game screen fills the whole monitor, but the lower half of it is black. Needless to say, this is proving quite a deterrent to my gaming. Can someone explain how to fix this?

Try to play it windowed by adding the -windowed at the command line.

-x640 y480

to the end.
