    Auto Recoloring?

Anyone who has done rips knows this: 99% of the time when you rip, the tiles given are in Cset0, so you have to recolor them. But there is a problem here: For some of us, it is the hardest thing we will ever do. Hows about this for a feature *gets shot* when you hit the "Y" key in the tile page, a window pops up with all of the csets on both sides (if 256 color mode is enabled on the tile) and one cset on both sides if 16 colors. For each cset, the left would be unchangable (current colors) and the right would be drop down boxes. If you were to set cset2 to the right of cset0, then it will change all of the colors in the tile (that use cset0) to the colors in cset2, thus automatically recoloring the tile into the appropriate cset.

Hit the R key in the grabber. It automatically recolors the tile to use the closest colors in the current CSet. I thinik it crashes on GIF's, though. Gotta look at that.

Should probably have a note somewhere within ZQuest that tell us this. In the grabber menu, specifically.

Oh, also, um, ... can the filename and path be made to stretch across the entire screen? On some peoples' PC's, it gets cut short, so you can't see which image you're viewing. It's an interesting little dilemma, considering that people don't always label their screenshots.

(BTW, on that issue, Everybody, please check out This program. It'll become your best friend if you work with all those "zelda001.bmp" type screenshots. :p

Well, I *could* try to go with either showing just the filename (instead of the full path) or the first part of the path, some dots (...), then the filename.

    Thoughts?

If you can't extend the filename, that's more than okay. It's the goal which matters. So, the filename is the *most* important thing here, because it'll show the filepath anyway when browsing. In the current method, the filename is only visible (Depending on the person's pathlength.) when actually selecting the file to open, then it may disappear.

How about making both visible? Both the filename and the Path?

    Filename: zelda001.bmp
    Filepath: c:\ZC 211\Beta 10b\

Of course, that may be unreasonable in the face of the method you've suggested, DN, (Since it's two lines rather than one, where only one is needed.) so it's more than likely for the best if rather than displaying it from the left, ("C:\ZC211\de...") it'd start from the right: ("...1\Beta10b\zelda001.gif") since they can see the full path from the Select File dialogue anyway.
