Perhaps a quest rule, maybe called "Open Treasure Chests from All Directions", that of course allows Link to open a treasure chest when he approaches it from any direction. This will apply to all treasure chest combos, both locked & unlocked.
I know it seems to make sense to open them from the bottom, the way treasure chests appear, but an option to change it would be nice in case people want that. Just a minor thought to consider.

I second this. What if an author wants to make a sideways facing chest, hmm? :p
Actually I got a better idea. How about for all of these, a way to select which direction triggers the chest or block?

We could have that as well. Although I think being able to make a chest openable from multiple sides would be nice as well.
