Yeah, but I *NEED* (underlines 50,000 times) that level editor!!!!
When the box set came out it was $96. I guess I should just go to E-Bay...

Do you have a Wal*Mart remotely close to you? Because you can get the box set I mentioned earler, then you can search for editors over the net for *free*. Once in a while I use XWE for ripping sounds, gfx, ect straight from the wads. (of course, you could also use it to edit levels, lol)
I don't ever remember seeing Doom Collectors Edition for anything more than $20. I got my copy for $9.Originally Posted by Bender
And forget about yuor level editor. Just use Doom Builder. It's a recent editor, and it's updated rather frequently, though the latest verison is kinda unstable (If it crashes a lot for you, a link to 1.66 is on the DB Forums, you're not missing out on much)
If you need some decent singleplayer levels to play through, I recomend Alien Vendetta. If you're looking for some Deathmatch action, give my clan's set of deahmatch maps: UDM3 a spin.
You beat me to it Alex.
Out of the few Doom editors I've used, this one is my favorite.
How about Real-Time 3D view. I don't know of any other that let you view the level while in the editor. Maybe there are others, but frankly I dont' care. This was the first I tried that had it, so I stuck with it.
It makes it really easy to align textures.
