I have tried to set the color of my text to a subtle green, but it keeps going back to white. I am changing it in the Misc. Colors, I hope some one can help me!

What c-set is it in? It has to be in C-sets 0 and 1.
It's color 1 in cset 0, but if you change it expect it to change a lot of colors in other tiles as well.

Well now it just changed the color of the subscreen text to green...Argh, this is confusing!
look through your tiles while in cset 0 and you'll see other things have changed as well, it may not be anything that really matter, and then it might.
Also look in items and weapons misc, and see if any of them use cset 0, if so they will be changed as well.
