Ugh...Need...help...with Link's Nightmare...

I just finished the Dungeon 2 and got the hookshot. I'm up to the Play House and I can't figure out how to get past the rock with cracks in it, or the lasers. Help would be appreciated...

Hey! I'm having the same problem as you. I've completed level two and have: Ninja stars and glove, chainshot, boomerang, sword one, shield two, bombs, stepladder, cape, two heart pieces and the large wallet (from Play House) --- but have no idea what to do now. I can't bomb the cracked pillar successfully, and nothing seems to disable the laser barrier, not even killing all the enemies on the screen. The town seems completely useless save for the fact you can get the shield there, the bomb shop doesn't work (maybe you could get a stronger bomb from there?) and yeah. I'm pretty much stuck here. I've revisited every screen with the new stuff and nothing helps.

Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks!
